Water industry experience

The experience of Etrog Consulting in the water industry includes work for the Victorian Government and the Tasmanian Treasury, which we undertook in conjunction with Marchment Hill Consulting.

We advised the Victorian Government in a study of the costs and benefits of smart metering in the Victorian urban water sector.  Our role included interviewing and facilitating discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, including water authorities in Melbourne and in other regional urban areas of Victoria, and various consumer, government and regulator representatives.  The results of the study will be used by the Government as a basis for dialogue with industry and the community regarding the value of smart meters within the water sector.

We advised the Tasmanian Treasury on meter rollout options to support new arrangements for the pricing and billing of water to Tasmanian consumers.
